NORTEL
Nortel has an Extremely diverse product
line, that encompasses everything from plain old telephones, to
carrier level optical switches. The product, past and present,
dwarfs even CISCO in its size and diversity.
CNP
has focused primarily on the DATA or NETWORK side of the Nortel
offerings. Where telephony and networking merge is a marketplace
that we are just now entering.
NORTEL secondary market modules
(network only), though
scarce, do not seem to bring great prices. This is particularly
true of High bandwidth, High List Price, items. Because of this,
supply is fairly uneven.
Nortel Telephony products retain a
fairly high resale value for instruments.
